09/10/13, part 2: Palermo's Floor Tile Museum!!!

After our group sightseeing in Palermo the rest of the day (afternoon & evening) was free.  Three of us made an appointment to visit a small, privately owned & operated museum of historic southern Italian floor tiles, the Stanza di Genio.  In case you’re wondering how interesting southern Italian floor tiles can be, it was a fascinating visit, with the tiles displayed beautifully in the owner’s apartment - even his kitchen!  Highly recommended for any future visitors to Sicily.
